Update on ICO&IARC Information Centre on HPV and Cancer |
| The Catalan Institute of Oncology (ICO) in Barcelona, Spain and the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) in Lyon, France jointly lead the HPV Information Centre, a web-based resource that compiles, processes and disseminates published information on HPV infection and HPV-related diseases for all countries of the world. |
| The last updated version was released on 10 March 2023, with a new website design and updated data on population, cervical cancer screening practices, and HPV vaccination. Data were derived from scientific reviews and official reports by the WHO, the United Nations, The World Bank, IARC's Globocan and Cancer Incidence in Five Continents. |

The statistics section allows the user to download: 1. Fact Sheets. Standardized country-specific summaries of 2 pages, 2 figures, and 7 tables offer a quick overview for each of the 194 WHO member states. 2. Full Reports. More elaborated reports of approx. 155 pages, 136 figures, and 49 tables can also be found in country-specific, geographical regions and worldwide summaries. 3. Data Query. The system allows queries to generate statistics for individual countries, groups of countries, regions or worldwide. |

| The HPV Information Centre is an open-access, publicly funded resource which supports the work of the scientific HPV community worldwide, providing a user-friendly tool to address relevant questions in the path to cervical cancer elimination. |
